Palazzo della Gran Guardia, Piazza Bra, Verona, Italy
The Congress venue is located in the heart of Verona, in Piazza Bra, in front of the famous Arena. The piazza is large and airy and partially kept as a garden. It is dominated by the massive Arena and two old buildings, the neoclassical Palazzo Barbieri, headquarters of the Town Hall and the Congress venue , the 17th century old Palazzo della Gran Guardia, property of the City of Verona Municipality, a baroque building once used for military
gatherings and now the most elegant and modern meeting centre with all meeting facilities. On the other side is “the Liston” (pedestrian area), with its wide, pink marble sidewalk, where the people of Verona and the tourists traditionally take their "passeggiata" (stroll) to reach the famous Juliet’s house.
The main Auditorium of the Palazzo has 680 seats and on the same floor a wide area is available for exhibition, refreshing services and/or for lunches. At the first floor, called “Noble Floor”, a second conference hall is available with 214 seats equipped with all necessary for classical and video projections and for simultaneous translations.
Another large hall and other smaller rooms are available at the same floor for sponsor
exhibition, small meetings and round tables.
Hotels, restaurants, clubs and bars, shops, art galleries, museums, bus terminal, taxis, main parkings and all attraction are within walking distance: you will be in the old town centre of one of the most beautiful city of Italy!
